More Updates

I thought Metazoica could use a little more updating. So, I added some. I added a subtitle to the banner on the homepage. I think it looks great!! Yahoo's old program would not let me do that before. And another thing, I also added a donation button to the home page. Though I've managed pretty good on my own, I am giving the viewers of Metazoica again a chance to make donations to the site. Oh I had some fun on the guestbook yesterday! LOL! I didn't know it when I signed up, but I can actually edit peoples' messages!!! LOL!!! I also added a note to those posting. If you have not donated to the site, you have no right to complain. So now, if you are trying to be a dumbass, complaints will cost you. Otherwise, I edit your posts and turn your own words against you. :) Won't that be fun??!! BTW, I know who you are. hehehe! Authentic and legitimate complaints won't be touched. Just those who are trolling. You can find the donation tab on the home page. Anyone with PayPal can leave a donation. If you donate, you can be as big an asshole as you'd like. Believe me, I can take it. LOL!! Otherwise, unless you want to embarrass yourself, you might as well forget about it. :P And I will not accept any donation from complaining trolls less than $10!!!

I knew there would be jealousy. LOL! But keep on trying to bring me down, and I emphasize the word "trying". Unless I know you and like you, your words have no effect on me at all. But hey! I'm having fun!!! LOL!!

Anyway, I am still recruiting partners. I have Metalraptor (I think, as I haven't seen him in a long time!) But if anyone else wants to join our group, you can always message me here. Also I fixed the signs on the extinction and survivors pages. I also realized I forgot to put a "back" button on my DDixon page!! Silly me!! But that's been fixed.

    That'd be fine Luciano. Apparently, my illustrations do not delight the younger generation. I need someone who can do illustrations that attract the attention of today's modern tastes. I'd be happy to pay someone for that if necessary.

    Oh sorry, I'm afraid that's what I meant by not qualified. It turns out I can't draw very well. But I know some people who can, I'll see if they are interested

The Making of Lemuria?

 I admit, I cannot take credit for naming the island of Lemuria. That was Dougal Dixon's idea I believe. But it was a good enough name that I decided to use it in my Metazoic project. After all, Metazoica is kind of an extension of the After Man project. It was inspired by it, and I just built on it. I really liked Dixon's ideas and agreed with most of them at the time. Besides, I don't believe his ideas were too far off. For example, the island of Lemuria. Now, I don't really know if that's what it'll be called. New Changes to Old Names

 Well, I kinda got a burst of inspiration from working on the Australian bush foxes yesterday. So, I've been working on my checklist for Metazoica. I thought it was proper to add the other foxes to the canine family in the Metazoic, because to be honest with you, I don't believe foxes are going anywhere. There's a slight difference. There are 4 genera of foxes, instead of simply using the one that is classified today. I divided the genus Vulpes into 4 separate genera. I'm using not only Vulpes (northern forest foxes), but also Fennecus (for old world desert foxes), Neocyon (for American prairie foxes) and Alopex for the arctic and corsac foxes. Then, of course I added Urocyon , which is a genus currently in use today for the gray foxes. I also added a few species of my own to these genera. How Cities Affect Evolution

 I saw this video tonight and thought it was interesting enough to talk about here. This film focuses on anole lizards in Puerto Rico that live in forests and now are becoming specially adapted to urban life. This herpetologist has looked at these city anoles and noticed some adaptations they have as opposed to their forest living relatives. Since this is a site where we hope to learn about evolution, I thought it was important to learn about how cities affect the process of evolution. This can also help any upcoming speculative biologists understand how evolution goes. Actually, evolution can go any way. It all depends on a lot of things. This just happens to talk about animals that evolved to live in big city environments. And it's not just in Puerto Rico this can happen. It can happen in ANY city in the world.
